Italy moves forward in the European Under-18 Women’s Championship.
Wednesday 5 April, the Italian team beat Bulgaria 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-19) and, with this fourth consecutive win, will move on to the semifinals with an advanced round, thanks to their first place position with which they will close this first phase of the European championship.
Being in the semifinals will also guarantee Italy’s participation in the World Championship taking place from 18 to 27 August in Rosario and Santa Fe, Argentina (to this will be added the qualification for the European Youth Olympic Festival—EYOF—taking place in Hungary in July). The abilities of Coach Cristofani’s team were clearly superior to those of Bulgaria, although the latter team had been giving all of its adversaries a challenge. The entire match was spearheaded by Morello and her team-mates, who must now wait for the winners of the next match to see who they will face in the semifinal on Saturday.
Great job girls!!!
